Online Baby Shower to Benefit Pregnant Women at Dayspring Center
Mommy vlogger/blogger Gabrielle Flowers Rader of GabeBabeTV and Keianna Rae Harrison from Mompreneur Ink, in cooperation with Indy--‐based charitable organization Give Beyond Measure, have teamed up to host their inaugural Online Baby Shower for homeless pregnant mothers in Indianapolis. From Dec. 1, 2014 through January 5, 2015, donors can visit www.givebeyondmeasure.com/online-baby-shower-nonprofits/ to shop for essential baby gifts to be provided to a homeless pregnant women currently with the Indianapolis service agencies of Dayspring Center and The Julian Center.
Shoppers can purchase much needed baby items from one of two pre-selected registries at Target.com and Amazon.com. Once the selections are made, shoppers can choose Dayspring Center and have their gift shipped directly to the shelter where the “mom-to-be” and newborn will be staying.
The annual shower occurs during winter, when the homeless are most vulnerable. “The statistics about homelessness in women and children are startling,” said Keianna Rae Harrison, from Mompreneur Ink. “It’s heartbreaking to know that babies are born with no place to call home.”
Expectant mothers at Dayspring are unable to afford the basics, like diapers, formula, lotion, warm clothing, etc. to care for their newborn. Your shower gift would significantly help us to meet the most basic needs of newborn babies and help mothers to welcome their new child into the world with the care and comfort they deserve.
